I like what you're doing with the blog... good stuff! You'll probably find that after awhile your TV will be ignored more and more and your life will focus on the friends and contacts that you make around the world. People are really not that different; we all seem to be looking for the same things. The power of the net is connecting with people and learning about what life is like in their corner of the world. This did not exist even 20 years ago. I think the world is changing faster and faster, but it is also getting smaller because of things like instant messaging and translation software (Thanks Google).
